Mr. Smith
Principal
The principal who learns every student's name by October. Believes a great school is just kindness, organized.
Welcome to Oro Valley
Every kid in the Manchas Universe goes to Oro Valley Elementary. This is the village around them — the principal, the coach, the librarian, the lunch lady, the school nurse. Eleven adults who show up, every single day, for kids who need someone who gets it.

Math Teacher
Mr. Note swears math is a love language. The protractor stays in his pocket, just in case. Patient with every kid who says "I'm bad at math."
Science Teacher
His real name is Mr. Spark, but the kids call him "Chispa" because that's what he plants in them. Once accidentally turned the cafeteria milk pink. Has never apologized.
Art Teacher
Mrs. Flowers wears a fresh flower in her hair every day. Tells every kid their art is "not done yet" — which is her gentle way of saying keep going.
Librarian
Mrs. Luna can find the right book for any kid in under three minutes. Knows when a kid needs a story, a quiet corner, or just a place to be invisible for a bit.
Music Teacher
Mrs. Harmony teaches with her ukulele and a smile that makes kids want to sing badly on purpose. Bilingual songs are her specialty.
Tech & Gaming Teacher
Mr. Speed runs the after-school esports club. Annie is his star student. Teaches the kids that playing well is one thing — playing kind is the bigger flex.
Garden & Nature Teacher
Mr. Roots runs the school garden. Tells the kids that every seed thinks it's alone in the dirt — until it isn't. He is the abuelo every kid wishes they had.
School Nurse
Nurse Cares has bandages, ice packs, and the secret skill of knowing when a tummy ache is really a heartache. Every kid leaves her office a little braver.
Cafeteria Manager
Mrs. Cooper has fed every Oro Valley student for 22 years. She knows who skipped breakfast just by looking. Slips an extra cookie to the kid having a hard day.
P.E. Teacher · Coach
Coach Thomas teaches that winning is fun, but being a teammate is forever. Carries an actual whistle and a real heart.
Every school needs a Mr. Roots. Manchas Universe doesn't pretend kids do this alone. The village shows up. The adults who notice. The ones who slip an extra cookie. The ones who say "your art isn't done yet" instead of "you failed." This is the school we wish every kid had.
Twenty-two people. One school. Every kid finds someone who looks like them, sounds like them, or sees them.
